Decorating for Easter
Does anyone else decorate for pretty much every holiday? No? Just me?
I can’t believe that Easter is already next weekend – it feels like it’s creeped up so quickly with all of the craziness going on in the world.
It feels good to put up the decorations and have something to look forward to even if it isn’t how we would normally celebrate. The weather is getting nicer and it’s getting warmer outside and decorating for Easter always makes me feel like spring is actually really here. We’re trying to keep things as normal as possible right now and to us part of that normal is decorating for Easter.
Here are some of our Easter decorations – the colours alone make me feel so happy!
The ceramic eggs, ceramic bunnies, and a few of the signs were from Home Sense last year. The little eggs in the vase and the flowers are from Michaels and some of the signs are from Party City. I’ve linked what is available below and some similar options:
Burlap Ears Floral Easter Wreath (ordered for our front door)
Easter Stemless Wine Glass (so cute – ordered more)
Egg Hunt Sign (similar)
Stoneware Eggs (similar)
White Heather Bush With Sage Leaves
Pink Heather Bush With Sage Leaves
Artificial Lavender Lilac Plant
We also bought some real cyclamen plants from a local greenhouse who was delivering them to people’s houses. You can see one of them on the picture with the ceramic bunnies. It felt amazing to support a local business during this time – if you are able to, definitely support local!
For Easter, we’re planning to make some of the same foods that we would if we were all together with our families and still do an Easter egg hunt (still need to buy some eggs!). And we can Facetime or chat on the phone just like we were in the same room. It will be strange not getting together with our families for Easter dinner and spending time together but we’ll do the best that we can.
It will be different but we will get through it and all be stronger for it. It just makes us appreciate all of the things that we took for granted before! Just think of how we’ll be talking and looking back on this all years from now.
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter next week!
